Companies like Sony and Panasonic have released high-end 3D displays this year and with the CES 2012 just a month away, everyone is waiting to see what new releases these two companies come up with.

If you’re on the market for a high quality 3D display this holiday season, you can still take a look at Sony’s HX929 and Panasonic’s VT30 right away. That is if you don’t mind waiting another 3-4 months and pay top dollar for a brand new 3D release from either one of the two companies.

Other home theater gear you might be interested in this year are LG’s high-end home theater system LHB996 with network capabilities or Panasonic’s SC-HTB15 sound bar, that are already on the market at great prices this holiday season.

Acer comes up with two new 3D enabled products this year, in the form of the HR274H 3D display which we’ve already talked about, as well as the new H9500BD Full HD 3D projector.

The Acer H9500BD is a Full HD 3D projector coming with 2D-to-3D converion capabilities and has been released as a great option for home entertainment.

The H9500BD 3D projector is based on the DLP display technology and comes equipped with 0.65″ DarkChip 2 DMD.

What’s most exciting about the Acer H9500BD however is its compatibility with 3D-compatible gaming consoles and NIVIDIA 3DTV Play feature, as well as compatibility with personal computers with 3D software and 120Hz output.

The Acer H9500BD comes with a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 2D-to-3D conversion without any need for third party software. You’ll also get the Acer ActiveShutter 3D glasses that will help you enjoy the projected 3D images.

Further more, the H9500BD has been equipped with Philips’ 280W lamp ensuring 2,000 ANSI brightness and 2,500 hours of lamp life. To further enhance your 3D experience, the Acer H9500BD also features the ColorBoost II and ColorSafe II technologies that will enhace colors and clarity of images.

HTC Ville will most likely be launched in February 2012 and reportedly, it’s the company’s thinnest smartphone yet, measuring only 8mm.

HTC Ville is revealed in an image leaked on pocketnow.com, showing the new, 8mm thin smartphone in all its glory. It’s said that the HTC Ville will come with Android 4.0 and a dual-core processor to support it.

Other features of the new HTC smartphone are a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, 1.5Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 8-megapixel camera and the HTC Sense 4.0 UI.

The HTC Ville is expected to debut in February 2012, while shipping will most likely begin in April.

Sapphire seems to have just the thing for you. The company has just released a new high-end video card, coming with 2GB of GDDR5 memory on-board.

The new Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 6850 has been equipped with the second generation 40nm DirectX 11 graphics core that runs at 775Mhz, while the memory is clocked at 1000Mhz, to provide high-end performance in a wide range of games and applications.

The 2GB frame buffer is perfect for demanding applications and graphical demands of the latest games on the market, such as large texture maps.

The pricing is unknown yet, but you can consider the Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 6850 as a great alternative to your current graphics card and have it under your Christmas tree this year.
